Bio
Leaving college with a studio art degree, it became very clear very quickly that there wasn't much demand for classical painters in the job market. Once I got used to the idea that I wouldn't be able to make a life as a starving artist, I fell back on my love of computers and design and got in on the ground floor of the Desktop Publishing revolution.
Leveraging my artistic training, design sense, and knowledge of programming (I'm a designer who can code... NOT a coder who designs), I worked in diverse industries constantly learning, growing, and finding my creative voice. I've taught college students and adults graphic design, typography, interactive design, and color theory. I've traveled the world working for companies doing PowerPoint presentations, webinars, tech support, and speaker support. I've worked as a freelance graphic / interactive designer for mom & pop shops and Fortune 50 companies. While I haven't 'done it all'... it certainly feels like it sometimes!
I’m lucky to have had the opportunity to build several 'lives' by doing what I love. Besides being a graphic / interactive designer, I'm an absolute Triumph fanboy riding their motorcycles since 2002 and loving every one of their bikes as the "best I've ever ridden," and having the opportunity to sell them for five years... winning Triumph Champion of North America in 2022. I'm a BBQ and smoking aficionado having definite opinions about what's 'correct' about preparing, smoking, and serving meats and sides (vinegar slaw is NOT coleslaw), and created a catering company out this love. I am married to an amazing teacher, writer, and mom and together we're embarking on a new adventure as authors as we collaborate on several projects.
Throughout the years, I’ve had the great fortune to work on some truly inspiring projects while meeting many influential and creative individuals along the way. I believe that working together creates a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts, and the day you stop learning and growing is the day you start getting old.

What Clients Say About HandPrint Creative
They are fast and do “Fortune 50” quality work!
They created 59 pieces of revamped or newly created collateral within 6 weeks.
Roughly 25% of the existing ODI collateral was able to be rebranded and revamped, but the rest could not be used in the US. Thus, they created mostly new collateral from scratch.
Nearly all of the network graphics they created on their own without help in explaining where ODI is deployed within the network infrastructure layout. They know this because they understand ODI’s capabilities and deployment and have been doing cybersecurity for many years.
I shared what I wanted, created the content and they took it from there. I did not have to explain what CDR, True Test type, Encrypted malware, what a subnet gateway is, etc. which is necessary to write, revamp or beautify our content.
They responded very quickly to edits, understood the changes and how it impacted other content.
